Residents’ Festival 2017!

Sunday 29th January, 11am – 3pm

Join us on Sunday the 29th as we open the doors for York Residents’ Festival 2017! We’ll be open from 11am to 3pm for the following:

  • Painting and glazing demonstrations
  • Have a go at glass painting yourself!
  • Children’s activities
  • Book sale and refreshments

We’re looking forward to opening our doors and inviting you in to visit!

Autumn lecture: Thursday 13th October 2016

‘I know my geese are not all swans – The WA Ismay Collection of Studio Pottery’, by Helen Walsh, Curator of Ceramics, York Museums Trust

On 13th October we’ll be having our Autumn Lecture. Tickets are sold on the door for £6 (£5 concessions) and include refreshments, available from 7 pm (lecture starts at 7.30). Entry is free to Friends of the Stained Glass Centre. Hope to see you there!

The Stained Glass Centre’s Summer Newsletter is now available to download!

As well as news of our recent activities and exciting new partnerships, Monika Adamczak reviews our Spring Lecture by Susan Harrison. We also have details of our upcoming events, including August and Heritage Open Days.

August Open Days Announced

Thanks to our newly-trained volunteers, we are pleased to announce that the Stained Glass Centre will be open to visitors on the following days in August:

Saturday 1st

Sunday 9th

Saturday 15th

Saturday  22nd

Volunteers will be on hand to provide information about the building and its spectacular range of historic stained glass!
